Peter Agre !

The Lecture by the Nobel laureate of 2003 for his work on Aquaporin channels, Dr. Peter Agre was just fascinating.

His way of bringing out the substance was just fantastic with bits of humor in between to make sure that his audience are really awake.

Even his informal speech with the students was motivational.  He’s a funny guy.  He brought his humbleness by saying that he hasnt done something new but just discovered which God has already done it so beautifully in its time.

It would have been worth the time if 9 of u had really come for that lecture…

Bacterial Index for Leprosy

The bacterial index was proposed by Ridley. He developed a logarithmic scale, from 0 to 6+. The scale is based on the average number of bacilli per microscopic field using an oil-immersion objective. In infections with a high bacterial load, it usually takes 5-8 years from the beginning of therapy before the bacterial index is negative. [A rule of thumb is 1+ per year].

 

Bacterial index
0	0 bacilli in 100 oil-immersion fields
1+	1 to 10 bacilli per 100 fields
2+	1 to 10 bacilli per 10 fields
3+	1 to 10 bacilli per field
4+	10 to 100 bacilli per field
5+	100 to 1000 bacilli per field
6+	> 1000 bacilli per field

Residential room.

As usual., the females just forgot that they stayed in a place called as the residential room., no one actually knew wat happened to that place.

They lost the lock & the key and just left the room opened to the world. It seems the patients used the room., who knows for wat purpose., say like illegal stuffs.

Wat wud have happened if someone committed suicide in that room., huh?

watever., these females r least bothered abt anything., since they were so ignorant about the place., and they talk about responsibility…

Eh?., look who’s talking abt responsiblity…

Finally,. these gals proved their incredible character again as a whole.
